We have had an exciting week in Class 4!
All term we have been using ‘The Promise’ by Nicola Davies as our main text for English and whole class reading. The book has recently been made in to a short animated film and we signed up to be part of the preview. In order to be part of this, we agreed that we would help make the environment better by creating a wildlife area in our school grounds.
So on Wednesday afternoon, we all worked really hard to create this new green space. We planted wildflower seeds in tyres and a half barrel. We made bee homes and beetle pots and also put together a new bird table. We relocated the school hedgehog house into our garden. A huge thank you to Anna who helped us so much with the project. Thank you also to Jewson’s for making and donating the signs and to all the parents who donated items to the garden.
Then this morning we watched the preview of The Promise film and we all loved it! The film has not yet been officially released but I will let the children know when it is so that they can watch it at home.
