What a great start to PE this September!

 

Lunchtime Sports Clubs

 We have started our lunchtime running club for KS2 on Thursdays.  This is for any child who would like to challenge themselves to run a mile (four times around the field).  This is a great opportunity for those children who are joining us for their last mile as part of the Virgin Sport Oxford Schools Challenge on Sunday 7th October.  KS1’s running club will start on Tuesday lunchtimes. 

 After-School Clubs

 Running Club will start on Tuesday for Years 1-6 from 3.15pm-4.10pm.

 Netball Club will start on Wednesday for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 from 3.15pm-4.10pm.

 Football Club will start on Thursday for Years 4, 5 and 6 and run from 3.15pm to 4.15pm.

 Cross Country

 South Oxfordshire Primary Schools Cross Country’s first race will take place this Saturday from 9am at Greys Court.  Timings are as follows.  The School has paid the fee to enable all children who are interested to run for free so just turn up!

 9am Year 1

9.15am Year 2

9.30am Year 3

9.45am Year 4

10am Year 5

10.15am Year 6

 Football Just for Girls – Beginners Wanted!

 Crowmarsh Youth Football Club is looking to grow the number of girls’ teams that it has. 

 With over 350 children playing football with Crowmarsh Youth FC, the Club has a great track record of nurturing and developing young football players of all abilities and age ranges. Children new to the sport are especially welcome as we aim to promote football as a fun team sport that is inclusive – shaking some of the old stereotypes that football is just for boys!

 You may already know that the Crowmarsh Youth Juventus (Under 11a Girls Team) takes many of its players from Crowmarsh School Year 6. Their manager – Paul Baroni – is an FA Level 2 qualified coach (and Crowmarsh parent) will be coming in to school to offer some football taster sessions for girls who would like to give football a go.

P.E.

 This term we will be focussing on Multi-Skills across the school.  This will help all children in their balance, agility and co-ordination.  Our activities will include throwing, catching, movement/spatial awareness, attacking and defending.
