Week 2 (04/03/19)

What a busy week we have had in class R. World Book week has been a big part of the week and we have read lots of different stories, including those brought into class from home.

On Monday we looked at three different books and talked about which one we would like to read. The selected book was read to the class and as a whole class we completed a book review. Some of the children completed their own book review of a book from home.

The pancake race on Tuesday was great fun. Congratulations to all who took part and a massive “Thank you” to those who helped at the event.  In the afternoon we read “Mr Wolf’s pancakes” and cut up the pancakes with different cutting tools.

The children brought in some fabulous potatoes, dressed as a character from their favourite book. Well done to the Class R winning book, “Mad about Dinosaurs”.

On Thursday the whole school had a “Religion day”. Class R children learned about Islam, Hinduism & Judaism.

We would like to remind you of the following:

  1. Class R will be cooking, starting next week. A donation of £3 would be appreciated to help cover the cost of the ingredients.
  2. Class R school trip to Cotswold Wildlife park on Tuesday 19th Please return the permission slip with your donation asap.
