Continuing with our celebrations we have this week talked about fireworks and remembrance.
The children have shared they’re family experiences of the wonderful firework displays. We thought about the shapes created by fireworks and together wrote a collection of words to describe the noise that the various fireworks make. They had the opportunity to dance with ribbons, using gross motor skills to make circular and other large movements, using the language learned earlier to describe fireworks created movements such as Zoom, Sparkle, Whizz .
In maths we have been looking at Shape, using language to talk about corners, sides, rectangles, squares, hexagons, opposite sides, length, curves in order to identify 2D shapes.
Please could you make sure all items of uniform /clothing is named, we have had a lot of un-named items in school this week and the children deny all knowledge of it being theirs!!
Keep up the daily reading, phonics and numbers.
Have a great weekend, from The Class R team.
