This week the children have all worked really hard to complete their non-fiction reports. We have learnt facts about houses and homes and included them in our writing. This week be have been focusing of sentence basics to remind ourselves about how we are always writing for a purpose.
In Maths this week we have continued to explore fractions of shapes and amounts. We have been using a bar model to identify and work out a half/a quarter of an amount. We have also learnt that 1 half is the same as/ equal to two quarters.
As part of Science the children had the chance of working with Anna Franklin to create grass monsters and talk about the life cycle of peppers.
This week the children have taken home a letter about the school trip to the Oxford Castle, please fill in the details and return the slip as soon as possible. If you have any questions about the trip or any other concerns please come and speak to me.
We hope you all have a restful weekend, thank you.
