Week 5 (1/7/19)

In English, we have been doing newspaper reports on sports day. We could choose whatever aspect of sports day we wanted to write about. We had to fit it onto one side of A4 paper with a newspaper template. We had to get this done in a very short amount of time, because it was the last piece of work that we would do in year 5.

In maths, we have been practicing subtraction and seeing what actually happens when the need to borrow and carry from other place values occurs. This is called the Base 10 System.

On Wednesday, we did a whole day of RE and learnt about Islam. We focused about the pillar of Charity. As a project we have to think of a charitable act with a group and perform the act. We could either do something to do with money or time. Time was the easer one as there wasn’t too much organising.

On Thursday, we went to Year 6 for a step-up morning. We wrote on face pictures about ourselves and what we liked, so that Mr Silvester could know more about what we liked and disliked. There was a face for the girls and one for the boys.
