The children have been indulging themselves in a variety of myths such as Pandora’s Box, Theseus and the Minotaur and Perseus and Medusa. We have begun to plan and write our own myths. We have also been expanding our vocabulary by identifying new words and applying them in the context of the stories.
We have been working through a range of skills needed to multiply and divide with increasing accuracy and efficiency. Some of us have begun to apply a range of formal methods to solve problems such as chunking, short division and grid method.
Next week, the children will be showing the class their presentations based on a different aspect of Greek culture. We have fifteen different topics such as warfare, food and architecture, and will include a variety of activities for the children to take part in.
Cycling proficiency will be taking place during the first week back after half term. Groups and exact dates will be finalised next week.
