What a busy week we have had!
Thank you to all the parents who came to our phonics party on Tuesday. Hopefully you found it useful and have new ideas of activities to do at home to help your child with his/her letters & sounds. Each child has a set of the next group of graphemes in their book bag to support their learning and a copy of the jolly phonics actions that we use to help the children identify phonemes.
The Jolly phonics songs and actions can be accessed via the internet: google search “jolly phonics” followed by the particular letter you wish to practice.
In maths we have been learning about estimation. We have been making a sensible guess(estimate) of how many objects are in a group and then checking by counting the number of objects in that group. We continue to develop our understanding of numbers & counting.
In PE this week we did dance & movement, learning a song to help us remember our left and right.
Next term we will be looking at Celebrations. If there is a particular celebration that your family celebrate, we’d love to hear from you.
Have a lovely half term.
