Home Guard at Howbery Park
A local living history group – the Redline Home Guard (https://www.the-red-line.co.uk/), will be on the park on 28 March to camp out at our pillbox. During the day, between 11.30am-5.00pm, the pillbox will be open to public and they will restore it to its original wartime setup, complete with Bren guns, paraffin lamps, and ammunition boxes, giving visitors a unique glimpse into how it would have looked in the 1940s.
